This policy explains what information huffeyhomes.com collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. The site is operated by Jason Huffey, REALTOR® with RE/MAX Revolution in the Des Moines metro (“I,” “we,” “our team”). Questions: jason@huffeyhomes.com or 515-606-1227.
What we collect
Information you give us. When you fill out a form on this site (newsletter sign-up, cash offer request, mortgage report, or net proceeds request), we collect what you enter: usually your name, email address, phone number, and, when relevant, a property address and details about your situation.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages visited, and referring site. We use WordPress.com and Jetpack site statistics to see which pages are useful. Form submissions are checked for spam by Akismet, an Automattic service, which receives the submission and basic technical data for that purpose. We do not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or visitor-tracking scripts on this site. If you submit a form, your entry is added to our CRM, so it is connected to you by name.
Videos. Property tour videos are embedded from YouTube in privacy-enhanced mode. YouTube does not set cookies until you press play. Once you play a video, YouTube’s own privacy policy applies.
Pages we link to. Some buttons, such as “Get an instant home value” and appointment links, take you to pages hosted by our CRM provider (BoldTrail) or other services. Information you enter there is governed by those providers’ policies.
How we use it
- To answer your request and follow up with you personally
- To send the newsletter you signed up for (every other Wednesday)
- To keep a record of our conversations in our customer relationship management system
- To improve the site and understand what content helps people
- To meet legal, licensing, and recordkeeping obligations
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers that run this site and our business, including WordPress.com (hosting and forms), BoldTrail (CRM and email), and our email provider, who may use it only to provide their services to us
- Other members of our team at RE/MAX Revolution who help with your request
- With your permission, people involved in your transaction, such as a lender, inspector, or attorney you ask us to connect you with
- When required by law, regulation, or legal process
Text messages
We text you only if you check the text consent box on one of our forms or otherwise agree. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Consent to texts is not a condition of any purchase or service. We do not share mobile numbers or text consent with third parties for their marketing.
Our newsletter is sent through BoldTrail, which records whether emails are opened and links are clicked, and ties that activity to your contact record. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link and our mailing address. You can also email jason@huffeyhomes.com and we will remove you.
Your choices and requests
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, by emailing jason@huffeyhomes.com. We will respond within 45 days. We may keep records we are required to keep by law or real estate licensing rules.
How long we keep it
We keep your information as long as needed for the purposes above, including licensing and transaction recordkeeping requirements, and then delete or archive it.
Security
We use reputable providers and reasonable safeguards. No website or email system is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive information such as Social Security or bank account numbers through our forms.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We may update this policy. The effective date above shows when it last changed.
